You might know a thing or two about where your bourbon comes from, but you may not be aware of the East Coast spirits scene that’s rapidly making a name for itself. Yes, there’s literally a lot brewing in Brooklyn, but before you drop that tired “h” word, you might wanna try the stuff yourself. Kings County Distillery has been making some of the best bourbons in BK. They’ve developed such a good rep for their stuff that they managed to land a book deal and a #menswear modeling gig with GANT Rugger. But back to the bourbon—his particular mix is made from 70 percent New York organic corn (sup, locally-sourced ingredients?) and 30 percent Scottish malted barley. The result is a sweet-scented blend that tastes more subtle than it smells. Great for sipping on cold nights, it’s an ideal choice for staying warm the old-fashioned way.
